Professional Summary

I am Kirsty R. Lowe, Director of Expert Psychologists UK. I am a Consultant Clinical and Forensic Psychologist with over 20 years experience providing services as an Expert Witness within the UK. I am also listed on the National Crime Agency, Specialist Operations Centre Expert Advisors database and have held lead posts within the NHS, as well as having University roles as both an Academic Tutor and Honorary Lecturer. I am an Associate Fellow and Chartered Psychologist, and Chartered Scientist, with the British Psychological Society and Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council both as a Clinical Psychologist and as a Forensic Psychologist. I am highly experienced in the provision of assessments and reports within the areas of criminal and family law, to people aged 16 years and older, and have worked with complex cases throughout my career. I pride myself on providing a highly professional, efficient, specialist and prompt service and in meeting deadlines. Publicly funded instructions are welcomed, as well as those that are non-publicly funded. I have further provided evidence, both written and orally, for the Crown Prosecution Service and solicitors in High Courts. Fees

Instructions with prior authority granted by the Legal Aid Agency (LAA) are charged at the LAA current rates for Expert Witness Psychologists. For other cases, my fees are £115 per hour or pro rata. Travelling time is calculated at £40 per hour or pro rata, at 45p per mile. Cancellation of appointments with less than 72 hours notice are charged for the preparation time already incurred. Cancellation of court attendance, with less than 72 hours notice, will incur preparation time already incurred. Cancellation of court attendance, with less than 24 hours notice, will also incur a half day attendance fee. Payment is required with 60 days from receipt of my invoice and report, unless otherwise agreed in advance. Late payments may incur interest in accordance with the ‘Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1988.
